The Dutch gambling regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) found that 13 operators failed to comply with requirements.
KSA has contacted the relevant operators regarding alleged violations of the country's payment rules, following an investigation that suggested 13 operators might not have complied with licensing requirements. The investigation revealed that 9 operators prevented payments to customers, and 4 were suspected of doing so.
In early March this year, the regulator reminded operators that the Dutch Gambling Act requires immediate and unconditional fulfillment of players' payment requests. This means operators cannot set a minimum payment amount or betting requirements.
KSA has requested all 13 providers to confirm in writing that they have not set minimum withdrawal amounts or other requirements.
A spokesperson for KSA stated:
Providers cannot set structural conditions that prevent direct payments. Therefore, players' credits must be repaid without delay. However, KSA has received signals that online gambling providers indeed set conditions for paying out credits to players.
