The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement reported that in July 2024, the total gaming revenue from its casinos, racetracks, and partners was $547.8 million, an 8.2% increase from the previous year's $506.2 million.
So far this year, New Jersey's total gaming revenue has reached $3.61 billion, up 11.5% from $3.23 billion in the same period last year.
The July figures include casino profits, which decreased by 6.1% to $272.3 million, online gaming profits, which increased by 25.9% to $195.4 million, and total sports betting revenue, which grew by 31.2% to $80 million.
Despite reaching new highs in July, New Jersey's online gaming market still faces some challenges. For instance, increased market competition and the need for consumer protection could impact future growth. However, with continuous technological advancements and further market maturation, New Jersey's online gaming market remains full of opportunities.
Going forward, the state government and gaming operators will continue to explore new market opportunities and take measures to address potential challenges. Through innovation and collaboration, New Jersey is expected to maintain its leading position in the U.S. online gaming market.
