The social purpose initiative of Merkur Bets, Merkur Community, has completed its first five-figure donation, contributing £10,000 to the Momentum children's charity.
This charity provides services and support to families of children facing life challenges such as cancer.
A spokesperson for the charity stated: "We do not receive any government funding and rely entirely on voluntary donations and generous contributions from kind-hearted individuals like those at Merkur."
"Every donation makes a tangible difference, so on behalf of all the members of the Momentum children's charity and the many families of seriously ill children we support, I extend our deepest thanks to you."
Tony Boulton, Director of Public and Political Relations overseeing the launch of Merkur Community, said: "A constant theme in all our dealings with non-profit organizations is the importance of voluntary donations from individuals and the business sector. Merkur Community is a joint initiative that combines these two elements."
"Only after talking with the Momentum team can you understand the importance of the work they do, how they bring kindness and comfort to families in their darkest moments, and how challenging it is for them to meet existing needs. Momentum children's charity is exactly the kind of organization that Merkur Community was established to help."
