711 BV has joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) and launched sports betting in the Netherlands. The operator had already launched casino products in the Netherlands, but only recently introduced sports betting.
IBIA states that the agency represents about 90% of licensed sports betting companies in the Netherlands. All licensed sports betting companies must cooperate with the sports betting integrity monitoring agency.
711 Chief Operating Officer Gilles De Backer said: "Since launching in the Netherlands in April 2022, 711 has had a strong casino product, and now we are excited to finally launch sports betting on 711.nl in collaboration with Kambi, alongside our casino offerings. By integrating it into IBIA's global monitoring system, we ensure the integrity of our sports betting."
IBIA Chief Executive Officer Khalid Ali added: "IBIA is pleased that 711 has chosen IBIA as its integrity monitoring partner for sports betting in the Netherlands. The decision to join IBIA demonstrates the company's desire to provide the best integrity protection for its sports betting product and to further expand IBIA's monitoring network in the Netherlands. IBIA looks forward to working closely with 711 to protect its business from corrupt betting activities."
IBIA reports that it received 90 suspicious betting alerts in the second quarter of this year. This number represents an 80% increase compared to the same period last year, but a 3% decrease compared to the first quarter of 2024.
