Canada—Sports betting and media company Rivalry has appointed Demi Abidogun-Benson as the interim Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Kejda Qorri. Before joining Rivalry in February 2022, Abidogun-Benson served as the CFO of Swash Digital and had worked at Deloitte Canada for over a decade, with experience in the UK, Southeast Europe, and Canada.
Rivalry co-founder and CEO Steven Salz said: "Kejda has been an indispensable part of our team from day one, leading our financial management strategy, public listing, and many other significant initiatives. We deeply respect her decision to resign to spend more time with her family, and on behalf of the entire team, we wish Kejda all the best in her future endeavors. I am also pleased that Demi will serve as the interim CFO, as she has been a key long-term member of our finance team, and I believe she will be successful."

In the first quarter of 2024, Rivalry reported its revenue as 94.7 million Canadian dollars, an 11% increase from the fourth quarter of 2023, with total betting revenue at 7.7 million Canadian dollars, a 20% increase from the previous quarter. Net income was 4.5 million Canadian dollars, an increase of 51% or 1.5 million Canadian dollars.
