Sports media company LiveScore has launched a new free football game called Build Up on its app.
The premise of the game is that users need to answer a series of match-related questions, predicting events that may occur during the match, such as a player scoring or assisting, or the overall match outcome.
Users who correctly predict these outcomes will earn points, allowing them to rank high on the overall leaderboard. The more unlikely the prediction, the higher the score, and users who rank high enough can also win cash rewards.
The first round of the league was held this past weekend (August 17 to 18), with Manchester City going to Chelsea on Sunday (August 18), and the matches starting the previous Thursday (August 15).
Residents of Ireland and the UK over the age of 18 can watch the matches through the LiveScore app on iOS and Android
LiveScore Group CEO Sam Sadi said: "We are excited to launch Build Up, an exciting addition to LiveScore's free game suite.
"The launch of Build Up further reflects LiveScore Group's mission to ignite fans' passion for sports, bring them closer to the events, and provide opportunities to win cash rewards. We will continue to enhance the experience for football fans."
In other company news last week, LiveScore launched a new TV advertisement in Ireland aimed at sports viewers to promote its "Total Betting" platform.
