Colonel Jean Fajardo, spokesperson for the Philippine National Police, stated that they are also coordinating with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Bureau of Immigration (BI) to maximize information gathering, hoping for positive progress.
The Philippine National Police aims to replicate their success in locating Sheila, the sister of Guo Huaping (Mayor of POGO), and Cassandra Li Ong, a suspected executive of a Philippine offshore gaming operator (POGO). Both individuals were previously barred from leaving Indonesia due to coordination by the Philippine National Police Commissioner in Jakarta. They are scheduled to attend a Senate hearing on Tuesday, August 27.
Fajardo mentioned that if requested by the National Bureau of Investigation, the Philippine National Police will provide full assistance. Currently, the police are assisting the National Bureau of Investigation in their investigations to prevent Guo Huaping and her associates from fleeing to the Golden Triangle area.
Meanwhile, Stephen David, the lawyer for Guo Huaping, assured the public last week that Guo was still in the Philippines, but now he has changed his statement, claiming to have lost contact with his client for several days.
