The Bureau of Immigration (BI) of the Philippines stated on August 25 that Shiela L. Guo, sister of "POGO Mayor" Guo Huaping, faces deportation for obtaining a Philippine passport through fraudulent means.
In a statement, the immigration bureau said: "However, her deportation will be suspended until all her criminal cases and other liabilities in the country are resolved. She faces deportation charges from the immigration bureau for being undesirable and possibly falsely representing Philippine nationality."
The statement explained: "It was discovered that Shiela holds a valid Chinese passport under the name Zhang Mier," noting that her Chinese passport is valid until 2031.
