According to Philippine media reports, on August 26, Philippine Senator Sherwin Gatchalian expressed his confidence that Alice Guo, the dismissed mayor of Banban town in Tarlac (known as the POGO mayor), will be arrested in Indonesia.
Sherwin Gatchalian told reporters that two of Guo's accomplices had previously been arrested in Indonesia, and he is certain that Guo will also be apprehended there.
Gatchalian stated that he has spoken with ambassadors from ASEAN countries and learned that they are vigilant about Guo. "I believe that the Indonesian law enforcement is on alert, so it will be difficult for her to move around Southeast Asia. I've talked with ASEAN ambassadors, and they said their authorities have been alerted."
Currently, Alice Guo is facing charges in the Philippines related to her association with illegal offshore gaming operators (POGO).
