In August, the Rhode Island Lottery announced that the state's online casinos generated $2.25 million in net gaming revenue (NGR) in May, which was the second full month of regulated iGaming.
This was an 8.4% increase from the $2.08 million recorded in April.
In May, Rhode Island residents wagered a total of $61.2 million at online casinos, with $33.7 million spent on slots and $27.4 million on table games. After payouts, slot revenue accounted for 72% of the NGR, amounting to $1.6 million, while table games contributed $627,472.
On March 5, Rhode Island launched regulated iGaming, with Bally's as its exclusive online provider. Rhode Island became the seventh state in the US to legalize iGaming, joining Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. These states collectively generated a total revenue of $635 million in May.
