Netizen Submission: Gunshots last night in Phnom Penh, was the park boss kidnapped?

Last night (August 27) around 10 PM, in the Rong Chuk district of Phnom Penh, after two cars collided, several sharp gunshots pierced the night sky, and the hit Mercedes was shot multiple times.

According to Cambodian media, two people in the car (one Chinese, one Cambodian) were shot and injured, and were later urgently taken to the hospital.

Insiders revealed that this incident was not a simple traffic accident, but a carefully planned kidnapping.

In this incident, a big boss in the Mercedes, reportedly the boss of a park in Phnom Penh, was kidnapped by the kidnappers after one of his bodyguards (a gendarme) was killed. Subsequently, the kidnappers called to demand a huge ransom.

Currently, the Phnom Penh police have intervened in the investigation of this case. It is said that the kidnapped person is Liu Peng, the younger brother of Liu Ren, the president of the Anhui Chamber of Commerce, and this incident has caused quite a stir.

PS: Rong Chuk district in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, is an area relatively concentrated with the gambling industry. In recent years, Cambodia has attracted a large number of casinos and gambling parks due to its relatively lax gambling laws. Rong Chuk is one of these concentrated gambling areas, hosting many casinos and entertainment facilities, attracting a large number of tourists and gamblers.
