Winston Casio, spokesperson for the Philippine President's Anti-Organized Crime Commission, reported that there are other illegal POGO centers in the Central Visayas islands.
On the morning of August 31, authorities discovered an illegal POGO center during a rescue operation at the Tourist Garden Hotel in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.
At a press conference, Winston Casio, spokesperson for the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC), stated that a joint task force composed of PAOCC, the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT), the Department of Justice (DOJ), and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) raided the hotel and found 162 foreigners working there.
"This is PAOCC's first operation in Cebu province, but we have heard reports that there might be other illegal POGOs in the area," Casio told reporters.
