Lottopar has created a tool aimed at responsible gaming, and from now on, bettors who feel the need to self-exclude from betting sites can do so directly via a link from the authority, without the need to enter each of the authorized operators in Paraná. The user's decision will be effective on all portals within 24 hours after the request.
During the exclusion period, the account is limited only to consulting history and withdrawing remaining balances. The minimum period of self-exclusion is 30 days, but it can be indefinite. The reactivation of the registration will be automatic after the defined period of self-exclusion.
In addition to the inclusion of this functionality on the platform, the self-exclusion tool continues to be mandatory on the website of each licensed sports betting operator in Paraná. Lottopar requires that operators keep active, within the sports betting site, this functionality so that the bettor can request self-exclusion.
When self-excluding on a sports betting site, within 24 hours, the applicant will be excluded from all other sites. Furthermore, operators must offer the bettor an exclusive customer service channel to attend to possible gambling addicts, which allows people to signal to authorized operators that they no longer wish to use these sports betting sites for a certain period or indefinitely. These actions are only valid for sports betting sites licensed by Lottopar.
For the operations director of Lottopar, Fabio Veiga, this is yet another initiative of the authority aimed at healthy and safe entertainment for the Paraná bettor. “Self-exclusion is part of this responsible gaming policy and now it has become much simpler and faster for the bettor to signal that they want to stop gambling, whether for a time limit or indefinitely, without the need to enter each of the operators' sites”.
“Making an analogy, it's as if a person with alcoholism had to enter the bar and communicate that they want to stop drinking. With this functionality, the bettor no longer needs to enter the sports betting site to communicate that they want to stop gambling, they do this communication via the Lottopar platform”, he concludes.
