CGS Recife 2024 will discuss regulation and other topics from the universe of bets

The CGS 2024 starts this Thursday (29) at the Recife Exhibition Center (Pernambuco). The event focuses on constructive dialogue, helping to promote a sustainable future for the Brazilian gaming industry. Among important players, highlights in the debates with Salsa, BMM, GLI, Maia Yoshiyasu, BETesporte and Casa de Apostas, as well as the presence of the former special advisor to the Treasury, José Francisco Manssur, who led the sector's regulation process.

This will be the first fair of the igaming and sports betting sector after the deadline given by the Ministry of Finance for houses to apply to operate in Brazil in 2025.

Various panels to discuss the future of the sector are expected to excite the audience. The first topic to be discussed will be "Advances in the regulation of iGaming and sports betting", scheduled to start at 9:10 AM. José Francisco Manssur, partner at CSMV Lawyers, and who served as special advisor to the Executive Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance, in 2023. He was one of the main responsible for leading the drafting of the rules for the fixed quota betting sector in Brazil.

In addition to him, the chat will feature the participation of Valter Delfraro Jr., executive of government relations and business development at GLI; Hugo Baungartnerr, COO of Aposta Ganha; and Fernanda Lima, lawyer at Maia Yoshiyasu Lawyers. The mediation will be by André Neves, CCO of Salsa Technology.

Other relevant topics will also promise to excite the event and will be discussed such as:

“Evolution of Casino Games and its impact on the eventual law of casinos and bingos”, with the already confirmed presence of Marzia Turrini, president of Digital, Security and Inspections at BMM Testlabs;

“Evolution of online games and betting on sports events and its impact on the regulation of the Brazilian market by the federal and state governments”;

“Economic and social impact of the regulation of lotteries, including aspects of territoriality”, among others.

The event has the mission of promoting meaningful and sealed meetings between renowned professionals, facilitating the growth and setting of professionalization standards of the sector, presenting new technologies and identifying businesses.

CGS Recife will focus on regulatory issues of emerging markets and on creating an environment conducive to the growth and development of the gaming industry in the region.
