Spain: UTSAJU highlights the success of inspections in gaming rooms in the Region of Murcia

According to the "Annual Report on the Development of Gaming and Betting", only 4 inspections out of 2,237 identified the presence of minors or self-excluded individuals in gaming establishments.

Spain.- The annual report on the development of gaming in the Region of Murcia indicates that only 4 of the 2,237 inspections are related to the access of minors or self-excluded individuals. The Union of Gaming Hall Workers (UTSAJU) highlights that these figures are an indicator of the professionalism of the salon workers and their commitment to responsible gaming.

UTSAJU has welcomed the data presented in the Annual Report on the Development of Gaming and Betting in the Region of Murcia for the year 2023, prepared by the Gaming and Betting Commission of the Region of Murcia, as a body for study and coordination of activities related to gaming and betting.

This report points out that, out of 2,237 inspection actions, only 4 relate to the presence of minors in gaming establishments and access to gaming for those who are prohibited from it.

UTSAJU celebrates the good figures in the Region of Murcia, following the trend already published in other autonomous communities such as Navarre (where only 0.63 percent of inspections end in sanctions) or Andalusia (with a sanction ratio of 0.49 percent).
