
The complaint from the merchants was made following the detection of two new illegal casinos in Reynosa, which continue to operate without permission.
Mexico.- The head of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce (Fecanaco), Julio Almanza Armas, filed a formal complaint with the head of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob), Luisa María Alcalde, Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya, and the Secretary General of Government Héctor Villegas, focusing on the lack of control over illegal gambling in the state of Tamaulipas.
“He made a forceful call to the state and federal authorities to take immediate and decisive measures against the operation of these illegal casinos. If no quick and effective action is taken, the existence of collusion or complacency of authorities with these illegal activities in Reynosa could be presumed,” he states in the letter.

In fact, the venue known as "Vireyes" located on Calzada Los Virreyes in the Medardo González neighborhood and "Punta Calabozo", in the Puerta del Sol plaza, were reported by merchants and formally cited more than a month ago. However, they continue to operate without authorization.
