Exclusive Interview – In an exclusive interview with Focus Gaming News, Michael Bauer, CGO/CFO of Greentube, delves into the company's achievements throughout the year, highlighting game launches such as "Piggy Prizes" and the expansion of its Italian subsidiary Capecod into new markets.
Bauer also previews what Greentube's presentation at the upcoming SBC Summit in Lisbon will be like, where the company will showcase innovative titles such as "Calacas Cash" and "Barkin’ Clusters".
What have been the highlights of the year so far for Greentube?
We have had some really successful game launches so far this year, especially the titles 'Piggy Prizes', but also 'Dynamite Fortunes' and 'Athena Goddess of War', which quickly became player favorites. We are also very pleased with the progress we have made with our Italian subsidiary Capecod.
The company now not only adds our content and that of third parties for Italy, but we have also expanded its presence to Spain, and soon we will launch into Latin American markets. On the Capecod platform, we have also created two crash games, a completely new genre for us, and we are curious to see how it develops. In addition, we have certified our new technology stack Mynt in South Africa and are now working on integrating new clients there. In summary, a very busy year with significant investments.
What games will Greentube present at the SBC Summit in Lisbon? Can we expect Greentube to showcase any new and innovative content?
In addition to our well-known 'Diamond Link' series, of which we will present the latest updates at the event, we will also showcase a plethora of other fabulous games.
'Calacas Cash' is a 6x4 cluster pay game with a 'Day of the Dead' theme. It's a game we are excited about, as it brings together many of the ingredients that make a slot game fantastic: incredible graphics, pleasant sound, and an innovative mechanic. It will be released a few weeks before Halloween, as the theme fits well with the season, but we believe it will perform well throughout the year.
'Barkin’ Clusters' is another cluster pay game on a slightly larger grid that is 6x5. As the title suggests, the theme revolves around fun dogs and the mechanics include symbol upgrades, multipliers, and much more. It's the debut of Flamingocatz, our new partner studio, and we are very excited about the titles that are coming.
In addition to slots, we have worked on a series of fast/instant games that will go on sale in the fourth quarter. The first two, 'Piñata Blast' and 'Hit ME Baby', will also be presented at the fair.
What are your expectations regarding meetings with clients and potential deals?
From what our clients, partners, and competitors tell us, we expect a great edition of the SBC Summit. Our schedules are almost full, and we are delighted to meet both current clients and potential new clients.
From our point of view, the venue is a very good choice, as it attracts people from Latin America, especially from Brazil, which occupies a prominent place on the agenda of many participants in the sector.
What key aspects distinguish Greentube from its competitors in such a competitive sector?
I firmly believe that what makes us stand out is the quality and diversity of our games. All our studios have their specialties, from fruit games to steppers, through complex video slots and new genres like crash games or instant games.
