Costa Rica.- Lottery buyers report problems on the "JPS online" page, where different products of the Social Protection Board can be purchased, including the lottery. According to bettors who have accessed the page, it takes a long time to load and manage the purchase. There are even those who have managed to buy lottery tickets, but the system does not generate a purchase receipt.
According to the local media El Observador, multiple comments about various problems on the platform proliferated on social networks, people complain that the cost was deducted from their accounts but the supposedly purchased fractions were not credited. Moreover, the page does not load or gives an error.
La Nación newspaper contacted staff from the JPS, who confirmed that the page is saturated due to high interest in accessing it, but the system is not down. "You have to wait, but the page is working," the press office reported.
Moreover, the "JPS online" system reports an additional step in the purchase process since this Wednesday, as it requests a verification code before payment that the user must request from the financial entity where they are affiliated.
