On the morning of September 2, a Chinese man attempted to escape from the "Sunshine Prison" detention center operated by the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) in Pasay City.
This Chinese man was a POGO worker at the scam farm in Clark Bamban that was attacked.

On March 13 this year, a team led by the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) conducted a raid on one of the largest offshore spinach operation parks in Bamban, Tarlac, suspected of human trafficking and severe illegal detention.
By 5:30 AM that day, authorities had identified a total of 408 individuals, including 234 Filipinos, 107 Chinese, 58 Vietnamese, 6 Malaysians, 2 Rwandans, and 1 Taiwanese, all working within the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) center.
