Lottopar was the pioneer in Brazil in accrediting testing and certification laboratories for the sports betting and lottery sector. The goal was to ensure that the accredited lottery operators in Paraná offer fair, safe, and fraud-free entertainment options. Today, more than 130 items are evaluated by the five companies authorized by the autarchy.
To ensure security and fairness in the Paraná lottery market, Lottopar determined that any sports betting and lottery operation, authorized by the autarchy, can only start operating once the requirements set forth in the Notice are met.
Among them, the obligation to present tests and certificates from internationally renowned laboratories that specialize in certifying gaming and lottery equipment in countries such as the United States, Spain, England, and Portugal, as well as now also operating in Paraná.
Games and bets are only released for commercialization once the tests are carried out and if everything is in compliance with the highest international rules for the sector, then the game receives certification.
For the accreditation of these laboratories operating alongside the Paraná operators, Lottopar required them to analyze more than 130 compliance items, including RNG tests, algorithm analysis, interval, cycle, payout tables, game information, source code analysis, systems, and cryptographic security, among others.
“In this way, we are ensuring that the games and bets regulated in Paraná are fair and safe and that they do not deceive the bettor. We want to offer safe entertainment for those who bet and with social return for the entire population. Therefore, I even want to make a warning: when betting, bet as entertainment and not as a way to make easy gains and always look for an authorized operator”, highlighted the operations director of Lottopar, Fabio Veiga.
RNG
The acronym RNG refers to the Random Number Generator, which is a system that generates a sequence of numbers between a minimum and maximum value. The RNG is used to generate random results, being a common element in games. Hence the importance of the laboratory ensuring that the generation of these numbers occurs within international standards and without external interference.
