The military forces at the Thai border and the administrative department of Mae Sot District in Tak Province arrested a Thai national man for using a makeshift water bottle rocket launcher to transport fiber optic cables and wires to a Chinese gray production group across the river. A large amount of stolen goods were seized at the scene.
The border military forces, together with the local administrative department and Mae Sot Police Station's Tech Crime Division, assembled forces for a routine patrol along the border in Village No. 3, Mae Kuet Luang, where they caught someone pulling cables and fiber optics to the opposite shore in Myanmar. A Thai man named Zongli (30 years old) was arrested on the spot while he was assembling a drilling machine's shaft by the river.
Investigators seized 1 roll of fiber optic cable, 1 roll of wire, 3 rolls of thick fishing rope, nylon rope, a fiber optic splice box, and the water bottle rocket launcher at the scene. During the search, the military police were particularly interested in the simple water bottle rocket launcher. Zongli used this device to send network cables to Myanmar across the river. Such a device could not have been made by an ordinary person; it must have been crafted by a professional, and the military police will conduct a special investigation into this matter.
