The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) of the Philippines stated on September 3 that seven suspects were arrested for kidnapping two Chinese women and one Vietnamese woman in Parañaque City.
Major General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., head of NCRPO, confirmed that among the seven suspects, three are Chinese nationals, namely 39-year-old Liu Yujie, 35-year-old Weichun Xu, and 35-year-old Donbo Lyu. The other suspects are 45-year-old Jon Jon Osquiza, 29-year-old Jerico Mamaril, 33-year-old Brian Barado, and 42-year-old Ruel Arenas.
Nartatez said the incident occurred around 4 a.m. on September 2, when the seven suspects broke into a house in Barangay Moonwalk, Multinational Village, where the three women were residing, two of whom are Chinese and one Vietnamese.
Nartatez revealed that the suspects destroyed CCTV cameras, took mobile phones from the victims' driver Kevin Christian Julu-an and a maid, and took the three victims (two Chinese women and one Vietnamese woman) into a white Toyota Alphard van.
After the incident, Julu-an reported to the local police, and the Philippine police immediately took action.
Around 4 p.m. on September 1, the Philippine police tracked down the suspects hiding in another street of the same village and captured them.
The Philippine police are investigating the case to determine the suspects' motives.
