The Apple Sports app is getting ready for the football season, with updates bringing live NFL and college football scores and game-by-game information to your iPhone's lock screen.
With the first-ever in-app support for live activities for all teams and leagues in iOS 18 and watchOS 11, you can now closely follow your team's scores through your iPhone or Apple Watch lock screen.
In addition to North American football, Apple Sports will add UEFA Champions League and Europa League next month.
For fans of American professional and college football, the app has also added a new "Dynamic Drive Tracker" visual feature to display the current position of the ball on the field.
Later this year, Apple plans to launch a new drop-down navigation menu designed to make it easier to switch between main scoreboard views.
Apple launched its sports app in February and has been adding support for new leagues, teams, and tournaments throughout the year, including Major League Baseball and March Madness.
