Bolivia.- In an operation against illegal gambling, the Authority of Gaming Supervision (AJ) intervened in a virtual bingo called “El Premio Mayor”. The venue where the gaming room was located, which did not have the corresponding authorization, was situated in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
During the operation, authorities confirmed the presence of eight people, including a minor, who were illegally working in the development of the activity. 11 gaming devices were seized and the owner of the site was identified and arrested. Meanwhile, the Child and Adolescent Protection Agency arrived at the location for the corresponding protection of the minor.
The site conducted its draws through social networks and invited people to stay in extended sessions of up to 14 continuous hours.
The Court No. 18 of the department of Santa Cruz ordered the preventive detention in the Palmasola prison of the owner of the virtual bingo. He was charged with the crime of illicit enrichment of individuals affecting the State. Among the evidence found during the operation were seized computers, mobile phones, roulette, gaming chips, and cash.

In other news, a few days ago, the AJ conducted operations in Sucre and Caranavi, in La Paz. Authorities intervened in two gaming sites that did not have the corresponding authorizations.
During the operations, a total of six gaming machines were seized, four in Sucre and two in Caranavi, which did not have the authorizations for their operation. Also, the presence of minors playing on the machines in both municipalities was evidenced.
