Since they began in April, they have already visited 27 schools in the City of Buenos Aires.
Argentina.- The City Lottery of Buenos Aires (LOTBA) announced that during the five months in which it has conducted its awareness workshops for young people, more than 2,400 teenagers from schools and colleges in the city have been trained on issues related to the risks associated with gambling.
In August, 13 workshops were held reaching more than 1,300 children, boys and girls, and teenagers in the neighborhoods of Montserrat, Devoto, Palermo, Liniers, Núñez, Villa Luro, Villa del Parque, Mataderos, and Pompeya. Thus, so far this year, since the start of the activity in April, 27 establishments have been visited with a reach of more than 2,400 young people.
According to the entity, the workshops are led by its professionals trained in responsible gaming and aim to raise awareness about the proper use of technology and warn about its negative consequences, mainly the risks associated with gambling.
"The school and clubs are preventive agents, due to their role in supporting learning and comprehensive development, through social relationships, imparting values and care habits, and creating spaces for dialogue, reflection, and containment," highlighted by LOTBA.
The meetings developed by the entity from Buenos Aires are face-to-face and are held in both public and private educational institutions. In these meetings, they seek to broadly address the complexity of this reality to promote the health of minors and young people, with a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach.
