On September 4th, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Prime Minister's Office for Political Affairs in Thailand, Sertsi, publicly announced the results of the cabinet meeting discussions. He revealed that the cabinet has approved the draft Memorandum of Understanding on Digital Cooperation, jointly prepared by Thailand's Ministry of Digital Economy and Society and Cambodia's Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications.
The main content of the document includes promoting cooperation between the two sides in various technological fields, such as digital platform services, digital goods services, digital transformation, and digital talent development.
Sertsi further pointed out that the most urgent issue currently is to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of cybersecurity, especially in preventing cyber fraud, dealing with scam calls, and mixed scams.
The drafting of this memorandum of cooperation further expands the scope of cooperation between the two sides, aiming to enable both countries to more effectively address and combat these issues.
