A BIG Brazil, which has just received a license to operate sports betting and online games in Rio de Janeiro, presents its first three names for the Board of Directors in Brazil under the Caesars Sportsbook brand. Among them is the former mayor of Las Vegas, Jan Jones Blackhurst. The executives were rigorously selected to strengthen the market opening in the country.
The operations in Rio de Janeiro of BIG Brazil - Caesars Sportsbook are expected to start in the coming months with the expertise of established names from the national and international business scene.
In addition to Jan Jones Blackhurst, the CEO of PG&MP, co-founder and board member of Espaçolaser, Paulo Morais, and the CEO and founder of QYON Tecnologia, Mauricio Frizzarin, make up the Board of Directors in Brazil under the Caesars Sportsbook brand.
Jan Jones Blackhurst was mayor of Las Vegas in the 90s and, subsequently, executive vice president and board member of Caesars Entertainment and part of the board of various organizations such as the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Sunrise Hospital, and Las Vegas Stadium Authority, as well as being the owner of Allegiant Stadium. She is also the resident CEO of the International Gaming Institute at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Another successful businessman who will also join the Board of Directors of the betting platform is the CEO of PG&MP, co-founder and board member of Espaçolaser, Paulo Morais. Graduated in Law from USP and post-graduated from the Classical University of Lisbon, Paulo has extensive experience in compliance and governance and joins the team invited by the CEO of BIG Brazil, André Feldman.
To integrate the technology sector, the CEO and founder of QYON Tecnologia, Mauricio Frizzarin, was invited. A software engineer, with post-graduation from Harvard, and a specialist in Artificial Intelligence at Berkeley, the expert was the founder of Folhamatic, a market-leading company in its segment in Brazil, which was sold in 2014, being the second largest deal in the history of software in Brazil.
