The Bureau of Immigration (BI) of the Philippines stated on Thursday (September 5) that Indonesian authorities have been looking for Wesley Guo, the brother of Hua Ping Guo, hoping to deport him back to the Philippines.
Immigration spokesperson Dana Sandoval mentioned that since Hua Ping Guo was arrested in Danglang City early Wednesday morning, their Indonesian counterparts have been "very helpful" and have coordinated well with them. Sandoval said in a statement: "Indonesia assures that this matter will be resolved soon, and Hua Ping Guo will be deported back to her country, including her brother Wesley, who they have been monitoring. They want to bring him back to the Philippines immediately."
Hua Ping Guo's "sister" Shiela Guo had previously stated that in the escape operation in July, she, along with Hua Ping Guo and Wesley, left the Philippines on several boats. According to various clues, Wesley Guo is still in Indonesia, although there were rumors that he had fled to Hong Kong, but there is no actual evidence or immigration records to support this.
Hua Ping Guo is expected to be brought back to the Philippines this afternoon (September 5).
