Gross sports betting handle in Virginia, US, in July rose 28.6 per cent year-on-year to US$377.6m.
The Virginia Lottery said bettors won $332.7m in July, translating to an 11.9 per cent hold.
Subsequent adjusted gross revenue in the month was $40.4m.
Mobile operators generated $40.2m in revenue, with retail casino activity contributing $218,364 in revenue.
As for the handle, that was also dominated by online wagering, with bets of $376m made on mobile devices. A further $1.6m in bets was placed in retail venues.
Total sports betting tax revenues in Virginia amounted to $6.1m in July.
