The German gambling regulator has begun what it called a “more intensive exchange” with problem gambling support networks in Germany’s states, by meeting relevant stakeholders in Bavaria.
Ronald Benter, chairman of the Joint Gambling Authority of the States (GGL), met Konrad Landgraf, managing director of the State Office for Gambling Addiction in Bavaria (LSG) last Thursday.
The GGL says that by meeting with individual states and discussing problem gambling and related issues, it hopes to “better understand the challenges facing the state coordination offices and to jointly develop approaches for intensified cooperation.”
A meeting has been planned with the State Office for Gambling Addiction of the Addiction Cooperation North Rhine-Westphalia in October.
The GGL met with representatives of the state coordination offices of Halle, Saxony-Anhalt, last year.
Another joint meeting of all representatives of the state offices in the GGL is planned for the autumn, the regulator said.
