At a hearing in the Philippine House of Representatives, Manila's 6th District Representative Bienvenido Abante Jr. intensely questioned Cassandra Ong, the authorized representative of Lucky South 99, eventually forcing Ong to admit her association with the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO).
During the hearing, Abante directly asked Ong about the license she obtained from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR). Facing persistent questioning from Abante, Ong finally admitted that her license application was for operating an online gaming company. Abante was shocked by Ong's confession and pointed out that her actions meant she was involved in the online gaming business.
Ong had previously denied any connection with POGO at the hearing on August 28, claiming her business was involved in real estate leasing.
