The Brazilian entity joined the United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports. Thus, it complies with the requirement imposed by Law 14.790 to be part of an international association of integrity in betting in order to operate in Brazil.
Brazil.- Loterías Caixa joined United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS), an international non-profit organization of state lotteries dedicated to protecting the integrity of sports against corruption and manipulation of results. The Brazilian entity entered as an individual member after being approved by the ULIS executive committee.
Caixa's measure is part of the strategy to adapt to Brazilian legislation on sports betting and online gaming, as Law 14.790 requires operators to be aligned with international standards of sports integrity. The Brazilian state bank was one of the institutions that submitted a license application to operate iGaming in a regulated manner in Brazil starting in 2025.
“This partnership with ULIS is an important milestone that reinforces our pursuit of the highest standards of integrity in our operations. We look forward to working closely with ULIS and its members to promote a safe and fair environment for sports fans around the world,” commented the president of Caixa Loterias, Lucíola Vasconcelos.
The president of ULIS, Gilles Maillet, also spoke about the new member. “Caixa Loterias is a major player in the Latin American lottery market. Its strong commitment to responsible gaming and integrity policies is vital to our collective efforts to increase transparency and ethical practices within the global sports community,” he said.
In parallel to the pursuit of becoming an authorized operator of sports betting starting in 2025, the entity continues to enjoy a good moment in its operations. According to the results of the first quarter of the year, Loterías Caixa increased its revenue by 22 percent, reaching USD 1.168m.
