Spain.- Zitro, has announced the appointment of Albert Zorrilla as the new General Manager for Spain. The company highlighted that the appointment is "an important step to further strengthen its leadership position in one of its main markets".
Albert Zorrilla joins Zitro with a distinguished track record in international business, marketing, e-commerce, and multi-channel strategies. His experience in the sector spans more than a decade, which has allowed him to develop a deep understanding of the market, backed by significant results in both retail and digital operations.
In addition to his experience in business management and team leadership, Zorrilla has extensive knowledge of gaming legislation. Moreover, he maintains close collaboration with regional authorities, as well as with industry associations, holding executive positions in some of them.

Zitro was founded in 2007 by Johnny Ortiz. The company started with Video Bingo games and later expanded its product portfolio. In 2023, e-commerce in Spain reached record figures surpassing €84,000m, with an increase of 16.3 percent compared to the previous year, according to recent data from the National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMCData) During the fourth quarter of 2023, e-commerce turnover amounted to €22.707m, marking a year-on-year increase of 15.6 percent.
Regarding the number of transactions, more than 432 million were recorded during the same period, reflecting a 15.1 percent year-on-year increase. Gambling and betting led the transactions with 6.9 percent of the total, showing their growing popularity in e-commerce.
