The meeting will be convened by provincial deputies Varinia Drisun and Lionella Cattalini under the slogan "Don't let the problem defeat you".
Argentina.- The provincial deputies of Santa Fe from the Socialist Party, Varinia Drisun and Lionella Cattalini, organized and call for participation in Rosario in the conference "Don't let the problem defeat you", about gambling addiction and problematic consumption in digital environments.
The activity is aimed at educators and open to the general public, and attendees will receive certificates. The event has been declared of interest by the Ministry of Education and by the Chamber of Deputies of the Province of Santa Fe.
"It is necessary to address gambling addiction as a problematic consumption and in all its dimensions: social, health, legal, and cultural," stated Varinia Drisun, who presented a bill that seeks to comprehensively address the problem.
Reflecting on the need to protect people for whom gambling has become a problem in their lives, the provincial deputy from the Socialist Party considered that "when gambling stops being entertainment and becomes a necessity, the negative consequences increase and it becomes problematic gambling".
In the same vein, Lionela Cattalini noted: "In these times, problematic consumptions are not limited to substance abuse but also to activities such as gambling, and in recent years, especially, to online gambling."
