On September 6th, local time, Philippine President Marcos issued a stern warning to Alice Guo, demanding her to answer truthfully about online gambling issues during the congressional hearing.
The President stated that Alice Guo should clearly explain how these online gambling operators have been able to expand rapidly locally, and why she failed to realize the severity of the issue. He pointed out that Guo's statements are hard to believe, as she, being a former local government official, should be aware that such large-scale criminal activities could not go unnoticed.
The President also demanded that Guo's responses be more substantial than her colleagues, otherwise, the problems she faces would only worsen.
