By tracking peak search volumes for terms like "Dubai casinos" and "online casinos," the report identified patterns of public engagement, particularly around regulatory announcements. These insights provide a clearer picture of how the evolving gambling landscape in the UAE is attracting resident attention.

In March 2024, when global casino operator MGM Resorts expressed interest in operating casinos in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, search volumes rose by 12.77%, sparking public speculation about the future of gambling in the region.
By July 2024, the GCGRA issued its first gambling license, allowing entities to apply for online and physical casino licenses, which led to a 6.91% increase in search volumes, highlighting the public's ongoing curiosity.
