So far this year, the Government of the State of Michoacán has dismantled more than 1,800 illegal machines.
Mexico.- In a coordinated operation, personnel from the Attorney General's Office (FGE) and the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) confiscated 118 slot machines in the municipality of Maravatío, which were operating outside the law.
After intelligence work and field investigations carried out by the Specialized Unit for Combating Kidnapping (UECS), evidence was collected on possible criminal acts, in nine properties located in various parts of the municipality of Maravatío, Michoacán state, which led to requests for search and raid warrants.
During the operations, 118 slot machines were located and secured, which were allegedly installed under coercion by members of criminal cells involved in extortion crimes. The Public Ministry agent ordered the securing of six properties as well as the secured objects, to continue with the investigation.
As highlighted by the Government of Michoacán, "the collaboration between the Civil Guard, the Attorney General's Office (FGE), and the National Anti-Kidnapping Coordination (Conase) was key to the fulfillment of these judicial mandates."

Spain.- The 12th edition of the Andalusian Expo Congress of Torremolinos, which will be held on September 18 and 19 at the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses, has defined its program of activities. The event is organized by the Andalusian Federation of Associations of Recreational Machines, Halls and Leisure (ANMARE), the Andalusian Association of Marketers and Distributors of Recreational Machines (ACODISA) and the Andalusian Association of Gaming Halls, Recreational and Leisure (ANDESA).
The presidents of the business associations ANMARE, ACODISA, and ANDESA, organizers of the Expo Congress of Torremolinos, accompanied by the Secretary General of Finance of the Junta de Andalucía, Manuel Vázquez Martín, will officially inaugurate the event at 11 AM. Then, a promotional video of ICE Barcelona 2025 will be presented.
The objective of the meeting will be to bring together manufacturers, distributors, operators, and other workers from the sector from all over Spain. Representatives from various regional administrations, such as the Junta de Andalucía, will also be present. The proposal combines a commercial aspect, and the reflective and documentary with the intervention of personalities related to the sector.
During the first day, a round table will be presented on the current situation, legislative measures, and actions for the present and future of the sector. Francisco Pérez Fresquet, an economist, doctor in business management and society of knowledge and president of the Talent Management and Development Commission of the CEA, will moderate the meeting. Representatives from the Administrations of Andalusia, Basque Country, Castilla y León, Catalonia, Valencian Community, Community of Madrid, Canary Islands, and Extremadura will participate.

The first day of the exhibition will begin with a lecture by journalist Vicente Vallés. The official closing of the ExpoCongress will be in charge of the Director General of Taxes, Financing, Financial Relations with Local Corporations and Gaming of the Junta de Andalucía, Jesús Ignacio Pérez Aguilera.
