According to the report by Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., the chief of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), the suspects are Li Xue Chang, 34, Huang Guanghong, 27, and Wang Yefu, 24, all residents of the Shore Residences community in Pasay City.

The police conducted a sting operation on Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City, and successfully rescued a 42-year-old victim.

The police seized three .45 caliber pistols, six magazines, 38 bullets, a machete, a folding knife, four mobile phones, counterfeit money, and a silver Mitsubishi Adventure vehicle used in the crime from the suspects.

The investigation revealed that the suspects kidnapped the victim in Barangay Tambo on the evening of September 6. The police action was initiated by a report from a Malaysian friend (Boon), who stated that the suspects sent him photos of the victim being abused via Telegram and demanded a ransom.

According to Boon, he had already paid the suspects $85,000 (approximately 4.78 million pesos), but the kidnappers did not release the victim and instead demanded an additional 50,000 pesos. This prompted him to seek police assistance.

The suspects are now facing charges of kidnapping, violation of Republic Act No. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), and Batas Pambansa Blg. 6 (Regulation of Knives and Other Deadly Weapons Act). The police are further investigating whether the suspects are involved in other criminal activities.
