In 12 raids, law enforcement managed to seize 64 slot machines that were operating irregularly.
Paraguay.- Following a formal request from the Municipality of Lambaré and the president of the National Commission of Games of Chance (Conajzar), the Public Ministry, with the support of the National Police, carried out several interventions in the area known as Pantanal, where they confiscated a significant number of slot machines that were being exploited irregularly.
The representative of the Public Ministry in this case was prosecutor Yrides Ávila who carried out a total of 12 interventions from which 64 slot machines were completely removed that were being exploited outside various businesses in the area, giving easy access to minors and even breaking the regulations that prevent the proximity of these machines to educational centers.
“They said that the machines were provided by a third party and that someone comes weekly to collect the earnings and that they establish a weekly profit of 40/60 for the exploitation. Preliminarily, the person who would provide the equipment has already been identified, we have the data to cross-check and confirm and of course, they would have to be part of the investigation process,” commented prosecutor Ávila in a conversation with local radio 1020 AM.

The prosecutor also affirmed that in all cases the equipment was removed and the people in charge of them were notified to accompany the procedure of verification of collection to which they had to be subjected and subsequently continue with the procedures for regularization to operate formally.
