The court in the Gabas region of Danleng Province, Philippines, has allowed the dismissed village chief Guo Huaping to attend the Senate investigation into illegal online gambling activities "when needed".

Chief Justice Lelos Xian dos Santos of the Danleng court relayed this message in a letter to Senator Hong Zhiwei Vilos on September 10.

The letter stated: "This court recognizes the Senate's power to conduct investigations to assist in legislation and assures the respected senator that this court will continue to allow Guo Huaping (alias ALICE LEAL GUO) to submit to the Senate whenever needed."

Lelos Xian dos Santos has requested Hong Zhiwei Vilos to send requests in advance to avoid conflicts with the court's scheduled hearings for the Guo case.

Guo Huaping is currently detained at the Philippine Police Detention Center in Jishun City, as she has chosen not to post bail for the corruption charges against her by the Danleng court.

While questioning the legality of the arrest warrant issued by the Danleng court, Hong Zhiwei Vilos stated that Guo Huaping will continue to be detained by the Philippine police until the legal issues surrounding the dismissed village chief's case are resolved.

Hong Zhiwei Vilos is the chair of the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality, which is investigating Guo Huaping's alleged involvement in illegal online gambling activities in the Banban community of Danleng Province.
