BoyleSports and Limerick Racecourse have announced a new partnership, with the betting company becoming the sponsor of the famous Munster National at Greenmount Park.
Under the new five-year agreement, BoyleSports will be the title sponsor of the two-day October racing festival (featuring the Munster National) until 2028.
The Munster National was first held in 2001, the inaugural year of the Limerick Racecourse, attracting top-level long-distance chasers, with Tiger Roll being one of the notable participants to win the €100,000 prize money.
In addition to BoyleSports as a sponsor, JP and Noreen McManus and their family will also collaborate with BoyleSports Munster National and Limerick Racecourse to host a charity raffle, with charities in the Midwest region receiving up to €40,000 in prizes.
Under the scheme, local charities will have the opportunity to participate in the JP McManus charity raffle by visiting limerickraces.ie or sending an email to info@limerickraces.ie. Each lucky charity will receive a prize from the BoyleSports Munster National race.
The charity matched with the winning horse will receive a €20,000 donation, with the second and third places receiving €3,000 and €2,000 respectively. Each of the remaining charities will also receive a €1,000 donation for specific projects or programs.
