According to Cambodian media, recently the Phnom Penh police raided a suspected online gambling den, arresting a gendarme and a woman involved in the case.
The police stated that law enforcement officers conducted a surprise inspection of the gambling den located on a concrete road in Gong Wu district.
In the aforementioned operation, the police arrested a 34-year-old gendarme named Hua, who is a member of the Gong Wu district gendarmerie and resides in Gong Wu district; another woman named Meng, 29 years old, a small vendor, also residing in Gong Wu district, was arrested. Law enforcement also seized a computer, WiFi devices, lottery equipment, and several display screens.
The two suspects and the physical evidence have now been transferred to the Gong Wu District Police Station, awaiting further questioning and legal proceedings.
