The call is expected to be launched next month.
Argentina.- The company Casinos Victoria of Daniel Mautone would still be interested in the Necochea Casino Complex and in participating in the imminent call for bids to operate the slot machines of the iconic seaside complex.
The information was released by the portal La Política Online and, according to it, the news would have been confirmed by sources close to the municipality managed by Arturo Rojas.
Last Friday, September 6, the president of the Institute of Lottery and Casinos of the Province of Buenos Aires (IPLyC Buenos Aires), Gonzalo Atanasof, confirmed that they will soon move forward with the pending bids for the Hermitage, Sasso, Miramar, Mar de Ajó, Tandil, Sierra, and Necochea casinos. Atanasof visited the Central Casino of Mar del Plata and met with union representatives of the sector; after the meeting, he assured that the specifications for the bids were assembled "listening to the suggestions" provided by the unions.
It is worth remembering that in April 2022, after a second failed bid, executives and engineers from Casino Victoria had already participated in a tour along with union and provincial authorities. At that time, Fernando Hansen, general secretary of the Association of Administration, Maintenance, and Casino Services (AMS), said: "Their primary idea was to see the state of advancement of the deterioration in the casino since they were last there at the end of 2020 to today."
According to the statements he provided after the tour, the leader said that the authorities had a firm idea of taking over the casino complex, beyond the slot machine bid. The company's project would be to build complexes of buildings, a hotel, gastronomic spaces, and a casino.
At that time, Hansen had mentioned that the company was determined and wanted to invest in Necochea; "we see this with good eyes, it would save the casino's activity," he had said, while affirming that the company intended to be granted a "temporary permit" to place about 200 machines and take care of some repairs to be able to open in the short term.

In December 2020, the firm Casinos de Victoria had presented an offer of more than USD9m to take over the Necochea casino complex and although it was initially announced as accepted, the mayor later clarified that the offer was rejected due to an error.
As indicated at that time by the mayor Arturo Rojas, the company intended to take over the title of the property earlier than anticipated in the specifications.
