Cordish Gaming Group, a division of Cordish Companies, has appointed Jamie Williams as the Director of Sales for the upcoming Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana.
The $270 million development project is expected to open in early 2025 and aims to be a significant addition to the Shreveport-Bossier market.
Williams will be responsible for managing the strategic sales and marketing plans for this new hotel, which features 550 rooms and a 25,000 square foot event center. The event center is now open for booking meetings and events, equipped with a large banquet hall, breakout rooms, a foyer, a conference room, and a performance stage, all outfitted with A/V systems.
Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana will be the first land-based casino in the Shreveport-Bossier market and the first Live! branded hotel in Louisiana. The project is located on the former site of Diamond Jacks Casino & Hotel and began construction in December 2023.
It is projected that in its first five years of operation, the project will generate $35 million in gaming tax revenue for Bossier City and $168 million for the state of Louisiana. Additionally, the project is expected to create about 750 construction jobs and 750 permanent positions.
In her new role, Williams will lead a team with experience in sales and event management. She will also collaborate with the catering team to ensure smooth execution of events.
Williams has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having held leadership positions at Golden Nugget Lake Charles Hotel and Casino, Shreveport Convention Center, and Horseshoe Bossier City Hotel and Casino.

This development follows Cordish Companies' acquisition of Diamond Jacks Casino in April 2023. This acquisition is part of a broader strategy to expand its Live! brand in the South Central and Southeastern United States. Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana will feature over 47,000 square feet of gaming space, including more than 1,000 slot machines and electronic table games, live table games, and sports betting. The property will also include 30,000 square feet of dining and entertainment space.
