Taxable sports betting revenue (AGR) in Indiana, US, climbed by almost 50 per cent year-on-year in August.
The latest figure of US$11.4m reported by the Indiana Gaming Commission was 48.9 per cent up on August 2023’s $7.7m.
AGR also rose month-on-month by 12.1 per cent from $10.2m.
The latest sports betting handle in Indiana was $112.3m for August, which represented a rise of 17.3 per cent from $95.7m in August last year and an 18 per cent rise from the $95.1m posted in July this year.
Sports betting taxes climbed 48.9 per cent year-on-year to $1.1m and by 12.1 per cent month-on-month.
Baseball was the most popular sport for bettors in Indiana in August, accounting for $76.4m of the total handle.
