Dreams Maule, located in the Chilean city of Talca, will involve an investment of USD21m.

Chile.- Dreams announced that during the first semester of 2025 it will begin construction of its new casino located in the city of Talca, in the Maule region. The new gaming establishment will feature a USD21m investment.

In a statement, the president of Dreams, Claudio Fischer, said: "We wanted the Maule family to be part of the Dreams experience, which will soon be present in this wonderful region. Enjoying the best shows and the finest cuisine with the quality and excellence that distinguishes Dreams."

Today, Friday, September 13, the official presentation of the project will take place within the framework of the second edition of the "Chilenidad en Familia" festival, a national celebration organized and produced by the Maule Foundation and Dreams Maule at the former FITAL venue. A projection will be made through a virtual tour on giant screens.

It is worth remembering that last November, Dreams Maule won the tender led by the Superintendence of Casino Games after scoring 800 points in the technical evaluation, versus the 665 obtained by its closest competitor.

The new casino will be 7,000 m2 and will be located in the iconic fairgrounds of the former 90,000 m2 FITAL. It will have a boulevard with restaurants and shops, an amphitheater for 1500 people, a museum, children's games, and halls for events and artistic cultural shows, in addition to a gaming casino. The project was conceived by National Architecture Award winner Juan Sabbagh.

As detailed by the company, this new casino will generate hundreds of jobs for the inhabitants of the Maule Region, and will also provide contributions to the municipal and regional government coffers through a specific gaming tax of 20 percent of gross revenues, added to VAT and the value of each entry which by law has a price of 0.07 UTM for fiscal benefit.

After the license for Dreams was announced in November, a conflict erupted in the region with the previous company that controlled the Talca Casino, Corporación Meier, as the establishment had to close its doors.

However, after several weeks of uncertainty, it was finally confirmed that the Talca Gaming Casino, operated by Corporación Meier, will continue to operate until the new establishment of Sociedad de Ríos Claros, from Dreams, is inaugurated.

In a statement, the Superintendence of Casino Games (SCJ) noted: "On Tuesday, December 26 last year, through Exempt Resolution No. 1099, and in accordance with the provisions of the new article 26 bis of Law No. 19.995 and Circular No. 148, of the same date, the Superintendence took note of the interest of the operating company Casino de Juego de Talca S.A. to continue with the operation of its respective permit."
