The shareholders of Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) will vote on the restructuring plan to split the company into two distinct entities: GiG Platform and Gentoo Media. Scheduled for the next 23rd, the deliberation will determine if it proceeds with the proposed split. GiG has confirmed to the markets that the strategic division of its businesses will be formally completed on September 30.
The group's investors were informed about the key dates for the remaining procedures for GiG to conclude the division of its media and platform businesses into separate entities.
The last trading day of GiG shares entitled to receive NDRs is September 23. The ex-date, when the shares will no longer entitle holders to NDRs, is September 24.
The record date to determine eligible shareholders is September 25, and the distribution date is set for around September 30.
Investors holding GiG shares on NASDAQ Stockholm will receive one Swedish Depository Receipt (SDR) per share held.
In an official statement, the company said: "Third-party analyses suggest that the GiG Platform may be valued at 14% of the total value of GiG before the split, but this is not a guarantee of its market capitalization when trading begins".
The strategic division of GiG's media and platform businesses was initially proposed in February 2023 as a guideline to reward shareholders and enhance the value of the company's assets as standalone businesses.
In June, GiG announced that its media unit had completed its reorganization, changing its commercial identity to Gentoo Media. The standalone media business is led by CEO Jonas Warrer and Chairman Mikael Harstad.
