The Rugby Union of Buenos Aires and a club from Entre Ríos joined the stance of the Argentine Rugby Union.
Argentina.- After the Argentine Rugby Union (UAR) issued a statement rejecting any type of association with companies that promote sports betting, other actors in Argentine rugby supported that position.
From the Rugby Union of Buenos Aires (URBA) a letter was also issued through their social networks stating: "The URBA, an entity that encompasses 91 amateur rugby clubs in the Province of Buenos Aires, directs its activity not only to the development of our sport but also to the comprehensive training of the young athletes who practice it."
In that sense, they expressed that the association "rejects any type of promotion, participation, advertising, or association with companies that in any way develop or promote the activity of sports betting".
And they concluded: "This decision is framed in the strong commitment of our union to foster and contribute to the prevention of gambling addiction."
On the other hand, in the province of Entre Ríos, the Club Atlético Estudiantes de Paraná (CAE) adhered to the international regulations of World Rugby, which had already been joined by the Argentine Rugby Union (UAR) reaffirming the commitment to sports integrity by rejecting any type of association with companies that promote sports betting.
