The casino operating company presented the details of the establishment that will open in the city of Talca.
Chile.- Dreams announced that during the first half of 2025, construction will begin on its new casino located in the city of Talca, in the Maule region. The casino operating company presented the details last Friday, September 13, during the "Chilenidad en familia" festival, where a virtual tour of the project was conducted.
The new gaming establishment will have an investment of USD21m. This ambitious plan will include a gaming casino, a boulevard of restaurants and shops, an amphitheater for 1,500 people, a museum, and children's play areas, within the historic fairgrounds of the former Fital.
Construction is expected to start during the first half of 2025 and the execution period is expected to be about a year and a half, approximately, so that the casino can begin to receive visitors by the end of 2026.
The project will occupy 7,000 m², a small part of the total 90,000 m² of the fairgrounds, and aims to offer local entrepreneurs a modern space to showcase their products and attract thousands of visitors. The project is part of a broader regional development plan, creating jobs and contributing to local economic growth.
Dreams Maule will include a gaming casino, an amphitheater with a capacity for 1,500 people, a boulevard with restaurants and shops, and green areas. Additionally, the project will feature event halls and a museum, all designed to offer a complete entertainment experience.
The entertainment center will be integrated into the traditional fairgrounds, allowing agricultural, industrial, and livestock activities to coexist with the new facilities.
The project design has been developed by National Architecture Award winner Juan Sabbagh, who has focused on respecting the tradition of the fairgrounds, which has 89 years of history. The use of materials such as wood and concrete in its construction seeks a harmonious integration with the environment. Additionally, the buildings will be raised 1.5 meters above ground level to ensure the safety of the premises.
Raúl Ramírez, the Infrastructure Manager of Dreams, stated that work is currently underway on the building permits process meticulously to avoid unexpected delays in meeting the proposed deadlines.
Ramírez said: "This is a project called 'Maule Fair Park' where the main focus is to rescue the essence of this land that for 80 years has served Maule for agricultural, livestock, and industrial fairs, therefore we come to offer a project that especially rescues that with an area for 1,500 people for events, shows, we also have a series of national and international restaurants, a gaming casino, museum areas, children's play areas, fair areas. In short, we are dedicated to entertainment and we come to enhance the entertainment in Maule."
The infrastructure manager added: "We are integrating with a project that we designed in wood, very sustainable that we will also link with what is today the Claro River fluvial park, which will favor the realization of natural tours, mid-afternoon walks, weekend oriented for the whole family. This is a project that is thought of like this, for the family, for the fairs, with outdoor circuits in a natural way that is presented open, where we will have perimeter security and people who come here can do so with all the confidence and come enjoy."
According to the company, this new casino will generate hundreds of jobs for the inhabitants of the Maule Region, and will also contribute to the municipal and regional government coffers a specific gaming tax of 20 percent of gross revenues, added to VAT and the value of each entry which by law has a price of 0.07 UTM for fiscal benefit.
It is worth remembering that last November, Dreams Maule won the tender led by the Superintendence of Casinos de Juego after obtaining 800 points in the technical evaluation, versus the 665 obtained by its closest competitor.

After the license for Dreams was announced in November, a conflict broke out in the region with the previous company that controlled the Casino de Talca, Corporación Meier, as the establishment had to close its doors.
However, after several weeks of uncertainty, it was finally confirmed that the Casino de Juego de Talca, operated by Corporación Meier, will continue to operate until the new establishment of Sociedad de Ríos Claros, from Dreams, is inaugurated.
In a statement, the Superintendence of Casinos de Juego (SCJ) noted: "On Tuesday, December 26 last year, through Exempt Resolution No. 1099, and in accordance with the provisions of the new Article 26 bis of Law No. 19.995 and Circular No. 148, of the same date, the Superintendence took note of the interest of the operating company Casino de Juego de Talca S.A. to continue with the operation of its respective permit."
