Members of the executive committee of the Chamber of Official Lottery Agents and Related Bonaerense met with the president of the Provincial Institute of Lotteries and Casinos, Gonzalo Atanasof, where they discussed the Chamber's requests regarding the implementation of the QR code and the authorization of VLTs.

Argentina.- Members of the executive committee of the Chamber of Official Lottery Agents and Related Bonaerense (CAOLAB) held a meeting with the president of the Provincial Institute of Lotteries and Casinos (IPLyC Buenos Aires), Gonzalo Atanasof. CAOLAB informed its members that during the meeting they addressed the Chamber's requests concerning the need to implement the QR code and the authorization of the video lottery terminals (VLT).

According to the executive committee, Atanasof conveyed that the use of the QR code "is a decision already taken and irrevocable, and that initially it would be implemented through the DNI account, a mechanism already available to them." CAOLAB expressed that if the QR is not interoperable, it would not have the expected benefits, since not all customers have the DNI account, which is why work will be done to advance its interoperability.

On the other hand, regarding the VLTs, the Chamber reported that Atanasof told them that "he continues working with the government to be able to implement them, but that the governor has not yet made a political decision to authorize them."

Pending issues, such as lottery platform, customer loyalty in online gaming, and prescriptions, among others, will be addressed shortly with the provincial director of games, Carlos Gallo.
